It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we share the news of George's death on Feb. 6, 2024.
We honor the memory of George who touched the lives of so many— His passing leaves an indelible void in our hearts, yet his legacy of love, compassion, and dedication to the canine world will forever endure.
George Mello Jr.
March 18, 1952 – February 6, 2024
He was more than just a breeder; he was a beacon of knowledge, expertise, and unwavering commitment to the well-being of every dog. His passion for breeding wasn't merely a profession—it was a lifelong calling driven by an immense love for these four-legged companions.
Under George's guidance, countless families found their furry soulmates—dogs that brought boundless joy, laughter, and unconditional love into their homes. His dedication to responsible breeding practices, meticulous care for each and every pup, and unwavering support for new dog owners were a testament to his character and integrity.
But beyond his expertise as a breeder, he was a cherished friend, mentor, and confidant. His warmth, kindness, and genuine love for dogs endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His presence illuminated our lives, and his absence leaves an irreplaceable void in our community.
George had a career as a caregiver for adults in residential services
where he touched countless lives and made a profound impact. His legacy will always shine brightly and his spirit lives on in the wags of tails.
Please consider a donation in George’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
